LANZAROTE island has been designated a Biosphere reserve by UNESCO. It belongs to the geological region of Macaronesia which means " Fortunate Island " in Greek. Surrounded by deep waters, Canarian current and the migration route of pelagic species such as the Blue Marlin. Also there are a variety of local species throughout the year; Yellow mouth Barracuda, Amberjack, Snapper, Atlantic bonito, bluefish...

Blue Marlin: The Marlin season starts in June until November. The main characteristic of the blue Marlin in this area is the size; Catches of 600 lb or more is commonplace.
Fishing starts within 15 minutes leaven the harbour as the water depth reaches more 1000 plus metres. |
